Description
Note: This Sake is temporarily replaced for the Furosen Usunidori. Same brewery and virtually identical in taste.
This is an unpasteurized and undiluted sake that still contains the fine part of the fermentation sediment. This results in a cloudy (nigori) color and a very delicate rice aroma. Although it is on the dry side, the texture is velvety smooth with a creamy finish. Drink cold or slightly warmed. Remember to shake the bottle before use, otherwise the sediment will remain at the bottom of the bottle.

This sake pairs very well with fish and seafood
Brewery
Uehara Shuzō was founded in 1862. The brewery has reverted to traditional brewing methods and, partly because of its colossal wooden press, looks like a true sake brewing museum. It is one of the few remaining old traditional sake brews and produces mainly slow-brew yamahai, natural yeast, slow-pressed, unpasteurized, unfiltered and undiluted sake.
