Description
Sushi rolling mat made of bamboo. Thicker, flatter and wider sticks make a tighter and firmer surface and ensure a more even rolling result. This also makes the mat very suitable for uramaki (inside-out rolls), as the rice is less likely to push through the mat. In addition, this variant is easier to clean than one with round and thin bamboo sticks.
Application
Use this rolling mat to roll traditional maki and uramaki rolls tightly and evenly. Place the nori sheet on the mat, add rice and filling and roll with light, even pressure into a compact sushi roll.
Maintenance
The mat is not dishwasher safe. Clean it manually with a soft brush or damp cloth and possibly some dish soap and dry gently.
