Yka Leaves have a hearty sour taste, with a slight sweet undertone. The leaves are extremely decorative with their deep purple color and slight markings.
Yka Leaves pair well with lobster, scallops or shellfish. But they also come into their own in vegetable dishes with ‘ground flavors’ such as beets, carrots or tubers. Goes excellently with smoked or grilled vegetables, fish and meats.
Yka Leaves are native to South America, where they are commonly found in nature, particularly in Brazil. Yka Leaves are part of a large family: more than 900 different varieties have been described.
