Jasmine is best known as an ingredient for tea, but it can be used in many ways. Especially with savory dishes, which have something sweet in themselves, such as seafood, duck liver or lobster broth.
Extract the flavor at low temperature. When infused hot, the flower becomes bitter. Jasmine Blossom can be used in oriental dishes and curries as well as in breads, macarons or sauces. It pairs excellently with summer fruits and citrus.
Jasmine is a plant that has been known in Europe and Asia for centuries for its fragrance and flavor. The comes from the Arabic ‘Yasmin,’ and means ‘Gift of God.
Jasmine Blossom is available year-round.
