Description
Elgante sake
Made from the highest quality Yamadanishiki rice from Hyōgo Prefecture, this sake is an example of a perfect Junmai Ginjō sake, with a strong but not overpowering fruity aroma and a light but flavorful body. It is actually more than a Junmai Ginjō, as the polish is Daiginjō-level. Slightly sweet and slightly sparkling with balanced acidity.
Recommended at
Nabeshima goes well with light-strong tasting dishes. Drink cold.
Brewery
Founded in 1885, the Fukuchiyo Shuzō brewery is part of a cluster of sake breweries in the premodern market town of Kashima. A relatively small traditional brewery, its exquisite Daiginjō and Junmai Ginjō sake are nationally and internationally acclaimed, making it sought after by specialty sake stores and bars. His Daiginjō won first prize at the 2011 IWC making this sake generally hard to come by.
