Decorative leaf, colored silver on the inside. Citra Leaves® Have a hearty sour citrus flavor. Reminiscent of Granny Smith or light citrus. The sour flavor is in both strong in the leaf and stem.
Citra Leaves can be used widely. From fish dishes to poultry. It also fits well in salads or desserts.
Citra Leaves are originally from Chile where the product is found in the Andes Mountains. In Chile the Leaves were also used as a vinegar substitute. Because of its sour taste, people found it especially refreshing to chew.
Citra Leaves are available year-round.
