Dutch passion fruit L
For some time now, our partners Inno growers have been working on the cultivation of something very unique: passion fruit grown in the Netherlands.
This Dutch passion fruit is large, full of juice and super sweet. This is because they are not "harvested" until the plant drops them. They are therefore fully ripened on the plant. This is in contrast to passion fruits from Asia and South America. These are picked unripe and then ripened during the trip. As a result, they are small, contain less juice and often have a sour taste.
The cultivation is still in a pilot phase. As a result, only a limited number of fruits are available.
We recommend to store them in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. For an optimal sweet taste, we recommend bringing the fruits to room temperature before using them. They can also be stored outside the refrigerator in a cool place. However, they store a little better in the fridge. They will shrivel slightly over time in either case. However, this has no effect on the juice within the fruit.
Large 57-77 grams.
