Bonsai apple tree Malus serie 3
This pre-bonsai apple tree is 7 years old. By expertly pruning it back several times, the tree has a beautiful thick trunk of approximately 3-4 cm. This tree blooms beautifully pink/white in the spring and bears small red apples in the autumn. The tree is in a training bowl.
What is a pre-bonsai?
A pre-bonsai is the perfect start for a bonsai. This has had its first design and is still in a large pot. To further grow into a bonsai, the plant will have to be repotted in a small bowl. This is of course optional. In addition, the bonsai will have to get its final design.
Caring
The plant likes a sunny spot. Preferably outside in the garden in a pot. Water the plant every day in spring and summer. Less so in winter and autumn. Fertilize in the spring before the plant forms fruits. The plant is winter hardy, but frost in spring can damage the young shoots.
